VOIVOD Explores the Boundaries of Reality in New "Holographic Thinking" Video

Canadian progressive metal innovators VOIVOD have released the official video for "Holographic Thinking," bringing one of the standout tracks from the band's 2022 album Synchro Anarchy to the screen with a visually ambitious production that mirrors the song's futuristic themes.

Rather than presenting a conventional performance clip, the video embraces the surreal and cerebral atmosphere that has long defined VOIVOD's creative identity. Blending science fiction, abstract imagery and shifting perspectives, the production complements a song that examines perception, consciousness and the increasingly blurred line between the physical and digital worlds.

That visual approach has become inseparable from the band's identity over more than four decades. Drummer Michel "Away" Langevin has shaped VOIVOD's unmistakable aesthetic through his artwork, creating a universe of alien architecture, fractured machinery and dystopian landscapes that has appeared on the band's albums since its earliest releases.
