TO THE GRAVE Unleashes New Album LIBERATION FRONT, Shares “LIMB FROM LAMB” Video

Australian deathcore band TO THE GRAVE has released its fifth album, LIBERATION FRONT, through BLKIIBLK, along with a horror-inspired video for “LIMB FROM LAMB.”
The 10-track record brings TO THE GRAVE back toward the deathcore foundations of its earlier work while maintaining the animal-rights and environmental activism that has become central to the band's identity.
“LIMB FROM LAMB” offers a somewhat different attack from the album's previous singles, slowing the pace without sacrificing its weight.
“‘LIMB FROM LAMB’ was the song that probably changed the most in the recording process,” bassist Matt Clarke said. “Until it was done, I wasn’t sure it would even make the cut for the album.”
Clarke credited vocalist Dane Evans' arrangement and delivery with bringing the song together.
“It’s a bit of a change of pace from the previous singles,” Clarke said. “This one is slow (for us), brooding and heavy.”
The accompanying video draws deliberately from horror cinema, connecting that imagery with the real-world subjects addressed in TO THE GRAVE’s lyrics.
“Our music and visuals have always been inspired by horror and this was a chance to be really obvious with one of our favorites,” Clarke said. “It’s always made sense for us to connect this kind of inspiration to the real-life horror we address in the lyrics.”
LIBERATION FRONT follows 2024’s Everyone’s a Murderer. According to Evans, the new record began while TO THE GRAVE was touring Australia and initially developed as a sequel to Director’s Cuts.
“What came out was something between that and a more pissed off brother to Everyone’s A Murderer,” Evans said.
Lyrically, TO THE GRAVE continues to confront animal exploitation through subjects including direct action, open rescue and abolition. Musically, the record shifts back toward the band's deathcore roots after incorporating a stronger hardcore influence on more recent material.
TO THE GRAVE is currently touring North America on the Sawed Off Suffering Tour, co-headlining with CROWN MAGNETAR and joined throughout the run by FACE YOURSELF. I DECLARE WAR, TRACHEOTOMY, SQUELCHING and AMEONNA are among the bands appearing on select dates.
With the first five dates already completed, the remaining run begins Oct. 9 in Mesa, Arizona, and continues through Oct. 17 in Denver.
