SUNBORN Reworks “Infinity Pool” With PhaseOne Remix

French metal band SUNBORN has teamed with electronic producer PhaseOne for a new remix of “Infinity Pool,” pushing the track deeper into the collision between heavy music and electronic production that has increasingly defined the band’s sound.

The remix arrives following SUNBORN’s recent signing with SOLID STATE and gives “Infinity Pool” a substantially different treatment, emphasizing electronic impact without stripping away the aggression at the center of the original song.

PhaseOne has previously worked within the heavy-music world alongside artists including FOX LAKE, MAKE THEM SUFFER and ERRA, making the collaboration a natural fit for a band already interested in erasing the boundary between digital production and conventional metal instrumentation.

“PhaseOne really brought the song to another level,” SUNBORN said. “His remix makes you wanna go wild, it’s so much fun. We’re so stoked of how it turned out and really proud to have worked with him on this one!”

The remix also arrives during a transitional period for SUNBORN, which is preparing another new song for release later this month.

Based in Montpellier in southern France, SUNBORN has built its music around contrast rather than a fixed genre formula. Melody remains central to the band’s songwriting, but its influences stretch from the abrasive hardcore weight of KNOCKED LOOSE to electronic production and contemporary pop and Latin rhythms.

That range has allowed SUNBORN to pursue a sound in which heaviness and accessibility are not treated as opposing ideas. The band describes its broader objective as finding the meeting point between violence and harmony, using modern production techniques alongside more traditional guitar-driven metal.

“Infinity Pool” reflects that approach, and the PhaseOne remix pushes its electronic component further into the foreground while retaining the track’s heavier foundation.

SUNBORN has also spent the past year expanding its presence on the road. The band completed a headline tour in January and later joined RESOLVE for a run of dates across France.

Those performances have helped establish the live side of a project that increasingly treats its visual presentation, production and songwriting as interconnected pieces rather than separate elements.

The coming months are expected to continue that progression. SUNBORN said its next material will represent the most expansive version of its sound yet while retaining the melodic and emotional foundation that has remained consistent through the band’s evolution.

The “Infinity Pool” PhaseOne remix is available now. A new SUNBORN track is scheduled to follow later this month.

SUNBORN consists of Lino Chesnel on vocals, Dylan Vie on guitar, Enzo Covelli on bass and Alois Jampy on drums.
