NEOVISE Goes Darker With Second Single “Lifeline”

German newcomer NEOVISE has released “Lifeline,” its second single and the follow-up to debut track “Gravity.”
Released through Arising Empire, “Lifeline” pushes the band into heavier and darker territory while continuing the emotional themes established with its debut.
Where “Gravity” focused on the person who keeps someone grounded, “Lifeline” examines the void left when that connection disappears. The song deals with isolation, self-sabotage and the struggle to ask for help while still searching for a reason to keep moving forward.
“This is the most honest we’ve been,” Daniel said. “‘Lifeline’ is that moment where you’ve run out of strength and the only thing left is to say it out loud: I need someone to pull me out. It’s the bravest thing you can do.”
Musically, NEOVISE pairs modern heaviness with atmospheric and restrained passages rather than maintaining constant aggression throughout the track.
Simon said finding that balance was an important part of developing the song.
“After ‘Gravity’ we wanted to go somewhere darker and heavier without losing the flow,” he said. “Making it heavy was the easy part. The work was leaving room for the quiet moments, because that’s where the song actually hurts.”
“Lifeline” also continues NEOVISE’s completely self-produced approach. The band wrote, recorded, produced, mixed and mastered the track itself, maintaining creative control from the initial songwriting through the finished recording.
With “Gravity” and “Lifeline” representing its entire released catalog so far, NEOVISE is beginning to establish a sound built around the contrast between modern metal heaviness and more vulnerable, atmospheric passages.
