MOLLY HATCHET Sets Lost Horizon Album for November, Releases “Once a Gambler”

MOLLY HATCHET will release its new studio album, Lost Horizon, Nov. 27 through Steamhammer, and the Southern rock veteran outfit has offered another preview with the new single “Once a Gambler.”
Guitarist Bobby Ingram said “Once a Gambler” is built around the mentality of someone willing to continually put everything on the line, treating both gambling and life as exercises in risk, confidence and starting over.
“Win or lose, playing the game, living your life at high speed,” Ingram said. “Gambling that the winner takes it all.”
That attitude carries through the song’s central character — someone who takes the losses, moves forward and is prepared to make the next bet rather than dwell on what happened before.
“Never looking back, always looking forward,” Ingram said.
Lost Horizon features 12 tracks, including “Whiskey Desperado,” “Jacksonvillain,” “Dixie Highway,” “Moonshine All Mine” and the title track. The album also includes MOLLY HATCHET’s version of THE BEATLES’ “Helter Skelter.”
The current MOLLY HATCHET lineup consists of vocalist Parker Lee, keyboardist John Galvin, guitarist Ingram, bassist Tim Lindsey and drummer Garrett Ramsden.
The album will be available digitally as well as on CD and double vinyl, with additional exclusive configurations available through Steamhammer.
MOLLY HATCHET also has a series of U.S. performances scheduled through November, including dates in New York, Pennsylvania, Florida, Tennessee, Indiana and Wisconsin.
