Bret Michaels Celebrates Pennsylvania Homecoming After Record-Breaking Holiday Run

BRET MICHAELS is enjoying one of the strongest stretches of his 2026 touring season after headlining a record-setting Independence Day performance and returning home to Pennsylvania for an emotional hometown celebration.

The POISON frontman kicked off the holiday weekend by performing before a record crowd at Charleston, West Virginia's Sternwheel Regatta before heading back to his home state for a July 11 appearance at the PENN Heroes Stage Amphitheater in Grantville.

Following the show, Michaels called the Pennsylvania performance "one of the best nights of my life," thanking fans for the overwhelming support and describing the homecoming as one of the highlights of his summer tour.

A native of Butler, Pennsylvania, Michaels has never strayed far from his roots despite more than four decades of international success. Throughout the week, he shared behind-the-scenes photos and personal messages from his time back home, celebrating the opportunity to reconnect with friends, family and longtime fans while reminding followers that Pennsylvania will always hold a special place in his heart.

Away from the stage, Michaels continues to devote significant time to charitable causes that have become synonymous with his career. His ongoing support for veterans, first responders, military families and diabetes awareness remains an important part of every tour, reflecting the personal experiences that have shaped his life both on and off the road.

The Live & Amplified tour rolls on with a busy slate of performances throughout the Midwest and South before continuing into the fall. Upcoming dates include:

• Aug. 1 — Leamington, Ontario — Hogs for Hospice at Seacliff Park Amphitheatre

• Aug. 15 — Beaver Dam, Ky. — The DAM Amphitheater (with BUCKCHERRY)

• Aug. 21 — Sugar Hill, Ga. — The Bowl at Sugar Hill

• Aug. 22 — Gatlinburg, Tenn. — Gatlinburg Convention Center

• Aug. 29 — Huber Heights, Ohio — Rose Music Center at The Heights (special guest GREAT WHITE)

• Sept. 7 — Canfield, Ohio — Canfield Fair (with DONNIE IRIS & THE CRUISERS and THE CLARKS)

Additional tour dates are expected to be announced through November.

More than 40 years after POISON exploded onto the Sunset Strip, Michaels continues to demonstrate that his appeal extends well beyond nostalgia. His concerts blend the band's biggest hits—including "Nothin' But a Good Time," "Talk Dirty to Me" and "Every Rose Has Its Thorn"—with stories from his career, audience interaction and the appreciation that has become one of his trademarks.

For Pennsylvania fans, the Grantville performance was more than another stop on the tour schedule. It was a homecoming celebration for one of the Commonwealth's most recognizable rock musicians—one that Michaels clearly wasn't ready to end.
